Project Objective
The project, titled "Data Talks” an awareness campaign with Stadsmakers, aimed to raise awareness about the importance of internet, data and its security made with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)in mind. The campaign utilized engaging content, including funny Instagram posts and sketches, to highlight who might want your data and why it is important.
My Role
As a member of the campaign, my responsibilities included:
- Researching and identifying key themes related to internet data and security.
- Collaborating with three other team members to develop the campaign strategy and content.
- Creating and curating engaging and humorous Instagram posts and sketches to effectively communicate our message.
- Ensuring that the campaign content was both informative and entertaining to maximize audience engagement.
Challenges Faced
Balancing Humor and Seriousness:
- Striking the right balance between humor and the serious nature of internet data privacy was crucial.
- Ensuring that the humorous content still conveyed the important message about data privacy and sustainability.
Collaboration and Coordination:
- Coordinating the efforts of four team members to ensure a cohesive campaign.
- Managing different opinions, creative ideas and skillsets to maintain a unified vision.
Technology and Tools
We utilized various tools and platforms to create and manage the campaign, including:
- Social media platforms (e.g., Instagram) for content dissemination.
- Graphic design and video editing software for creating engaging posts and sketches.
- Project management tools (e.g., notion, gmail) to facilitate collaboration and communication among team members.
- Profesional video equipment (lights, camera, sound. Etc.)
Impact
The "Data Talks” awareness campaign, successfully engaged a wide audience on Instagram, raising awareness about the importance of internet data privacy and sustainability. The humorous approach helped to attract attention and made the topic more accessible, demonstrating the effectiveness of creative strategies in educational campaigns.
